The macOS .pkg installs the tray app and the swarmfile-engine daemon together - both auto-start at login. The .dmg is tray-only and leaves the engine to install separately, for advanced users who already manage it another way. The Windows installer bundles WinFsp, the VC++ Redist, and WebView2, installing each only if it’s missing; IT departments deploying via GPO can use the bare .msi instead (prerequisites not included).
